Romans 5.6-11 Salvation is by Grace

For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.Romans 5:6‭-‬11 NASB
The myth of religion is "If I am good enough, I'll be saved."

The lie is "I'm not good enough for God. If I can get my life in order, then I can pray."

The truth is God is not looking for good people. He's looking for people who need to be saved. You may fool yourself into thinking that you're good enough to tip the scales, but Christ didn't die for good people. He died for sinners. If you will come to God, you must first acknowledge your sin, and admit to your need for salvation.

And don't think that you can't come to Him because your sins are so bad. He will forgive you. If you have read this far, it is because the Spirit of God has led you to do so. Whatever your sin is, God will forgive it. Why? Because He created you, and He loves you.

The first Bible verse most people learn is John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

If you have never accepted Jesus as your Savior, you can stop right now and confess your sins to God. If you believe in you heart that Jesus died for you and rose from the dead, and confess Jesus as Lord, you will be saved.

And now we jubilantly rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we can now boldly approach God in prayer; not because of our goodness, but because Jesus made us right with God.
